About FOLK-CAP

Generally among students there is a feeling that Maths is a difficult subject and problem solving is tough.  The object of this book is to make Every child/student find easy to read Maths problems and make  Enjoy Maths Problem Solving  using FOLKCAP  way /procedure steps.
In order to READ a Maths problem, First you need to know that Mathematics is ALSO A LANGUAGE ! As in any language  there are “key ” words and phrases that are very frequently used in sentences /talking.   Further these words are linked with Grammar to formulate meaningful sentence…. grammar rules! Likewise, Mathematics as a Language  has its own “key words” which i call them as SIGHT WORDS and SIGHT PHRASES.  The reason being  as a student, whenever you see the SIGHT words immediately it should flash in your mind it’s meaning and in what situation / context it is used… [ in common language we say “Love at First SIGHT ” In Maths work it is RECOGNISE the word’s (meaning &situation) at first SIGHT  !  ] Henceforth, I use SIGHT WORDS AND SIGHT PHRASES in the discussion. As regards to Grammar,  it’s  LOGIC in Maths   on how words become action-able.  Fortunately for us, the necessary LOGIC Hardware & SOFTWARE are in-built by God at Child’s birth !   We need to only use them extensively.
Combination of SIGHT words and LOGIC in a given situation  using FOLK-CAP  steps leads to required solution! FOLK-CAP is an Acronym for Figure Out the Logic with Knowledge of Current And Previous. [ class/semesters/years] Maths is one subject where you need to remember what has been taught in Previous classes/years ( AP of CAP) I made an analysis -(viz. Research- on the numbers of Maths SIGHT WORDS in standard 1 to Text books and noted (discovered!)  That a child/student needs to know ONLY around 650 SIGHT WORDS  & SIGHT PHRASES in order to become Fluent in Problem Solving! you will agree that this many words is NOT-AT-ALL-DIFFICULT  to get familiar with in a span of 10yrs schooling!   [ it was in 1996 time, with NEP2020   it is 15yrs Schooling with up to 12 th included   however, basic maths contents does not change] The list of the SIGHT WORDS, standard wise, are given in the Download-able FOLK-CAP  book   …. Read them, note down them to solve your Textbooks  problems using FOLK-CAP way Remember, Maths is one subject where you can Enjoy  only by Self- doing!   … in other words. Maths Problem Solving  is NOT a spectator activity.. So get start using the FOLK-CAP book along with your Text book. BY This unique way, many problems in Maths  teaching have been eliminated automatically!  in a way SOLUTION to problems raised in ASER 2024 reports is effected in FOLK-CAP way]
